11 March 2001 Well the real reason I am writing Joe is that I have created a new award. And after just coming from your page YOU have done some changing. Looks pretty good my friend. I have created the 1st Sgt. Award. It is based on CONTENT. And content only. It is easy to see that the 18th Louisiana Infantry is with out a doubt one of the better than average web sites on the Civil War website circuit today. What you offer is most informative to all of us who believe in keeping our ancestors history alive. You have come along way and your work truly shows it. I myself know what it takes in gathering all the information and trying to make a good presentation for the Internet Public to view. And its not all that easy at times. I am grateful for all your fine work and I appreciate very much. With this I would like to give you my 1st Sgt.
