Civilian Data: (17 June 2001) D'Armas Guidry was a farmer by trade and was married to Doralise DUPUIS Guidry. This marriage produced some nine know children. The contributor is only aware of one of the children's names: Lucas. D'Armas went to war at the age of 32, very old for a soldier and according the muster roll records, a conscript. According to the Archives in Baton Rouge, there is an application on file for Confederate Benefits for him as well as his widow. D'Armas passed away on December 9, 1914 and is laid to rest at the St. Bernard Catholic Church Cemetery at N. Main St and St. Bernard Drive in Breaux Bridge, LA. We wish to express our sincere thanks for the information on D'Armas supplied by his Great-great grandson, Paul Guidry from Nina, Louisiana.
