Big News!!!

Yes, it is possible, and it’s true!
Jackie DeShannon’s first live concert in the UK for more than 40 years will take place on Thursday, May 25, 2006  at Dingwalls, in London.

Here’s all the information we know at this point:

Dingwalls is located at Middle Yard, Camden Lock, London NW1 8AD. Dingwalls website, www.dingwalls.com, gives location details.

Purchase tickets through Ticketweb, http://www.ticketweb.co.uk , telephone (UK) 08700 600100.
The cost is £15.

The concert starts at 7.30pm, and the promoters are hoping to find a support act which we’ll like. But don’t bring your kids, the venue is for Over 18s only.

What will Jackie sing? We don’t know, but we’re sure that if you go to the message board on Jackie’s website, http://www.jackiedeshannon.com and make a suggestion or two, she will be listening.

In other news, two more of Jackie's LPs are getting the reissue treatment in the immediate future. According to http://www.cduniverse.com , there will be two Japanese releases in the next two months. First up is What The World Needs Now Is Love on March 28. We assume this is the same as "This Is Jackie DeShannon" but we're not sure. The only info given is "24bit digitally remastered Japanese limited edition issue of the album classic in a deluxe, miniaturized LP sleeve replica of the original vinyl album artwork."
The second release is New Arrangement on April 25. It reportedly includes 3 bonus tracks, and is a  "Japanese limited edition issue of the album classic in a deluxe, miniaturized LP sleeve replica of the original vinyl album artwork."
