My truck is equipped with the 5.7 liter 350 V8 engine. It is a very tough and reliable engine. With over one hundred thousand miles on it, it's still running strong. These engines were produced for many years and are very common. Replacement parts and aftermarket accessories are fairly cheap and easy to find. According to the factory info below this engine is rated at 210 horsepower. Although that seems fairly average today, at the time that was a large jump in horsepower over previous years due to the introduction of throttle body fuel injection to the trucks in 87.
