Denagr was a very succesful swoop bike jockey on the planet of Corellia until he met a cunning rival named Han Solo. Denagr challenged Han Solo to a race in the crystal swamps of Agrilat. During the race, Dengar rammed his swoop bike into Solo's vehicle. He drove into a crystal and suffered dearly. Most of his body was damaged, if not destroyed. He blamed Solo for his accident even though it was his fault that he rammed his bike into Han Solo's and hit a crystal.
The Empire repaired Dengar's body through drugs, enhancements, and surgery. His body and senses were enhanced. The Empire wanted to bethe perfect assassin. In doing so, he was stripped of all emotion except hatred and a burning need for revenge.
The rebuilt assassin tracked down many criminals for the Empire until he heard word of the bounty on Solo's head. He remembered what Solo had done to him so many years ago (even though it was his fault). With the burning need of revenge, Dengar vowed to track down Solo. He became an independant bounty hunter.
During Dengar's services for the Empire, he had a change of heart. He didn't like the blameworthy order to kill the Holy Children of Asrat and he left Imperial service. He began to target Imperial officals instead.

Even though he acted against the Empire, he was still invited aboard the Executor to discuss the capture of the Millennium Falcon.
Dengar was hot on the Millennium Falcon's trail. He was about to disable the Falcon when Boba Fett disabled his ship. Dengar was unable to catch up, and Fett captured Solo.
Dengar planned to recapture Solo, who was cast in carbonite, from Jabba's palace. His plan was foiled by Boba Fett who left Dengar to die in the deserts of Tatoonie. He was saved by a beautiful Aruzan woman named Manaroo. Dengar wnt to look for Jabba's body at the Sarlacc pit, but instead he found the half-dead body of Baba Fett, who managed to crawl out of the Sarlacc's gut. Manaroo urged Dengar to heal Fett. Fett was grateful that Dengar had saved him. The two formed a partnership which lasted years. Fett served as the best man at Dengar and Manaroo's wedding. They eventually went their seperate ways.
Dengar's current activities and whereabouts are unknown.
