The Matopos are perhaps best known for their balancing rock
formations and as the gravesite of Cecil John Rhodes, the founder of the
former Rhodesia (before Zimbabwe gained independence after bloody fighting
in 1980). The area Rhodes called "World's View" affords a panoramic
view over the park. There are also ancient cave paintings of rhino
and other animals, as well as diverse wild-life in the park.
Here is a brief description of the photos:
These balancing
rock formations never ceased to amaze me!
The magnificent
views are quite spectacular, but you really need a camera with a 360
degree lens to get the best shot!
