The awp is a very good weapon to use for long distance killing. It is mostly a one-hit kill if aimed at anywhere but the leg or arm. The awp has a very good scope range on it, so u can have very accurate aim at an enemy far away. Don't ever use second-range zoom in. Use only the first zoom in, where u can get a wider view of the area in front of you. On maps like awp_map, a good tactic to use is jumping then crouching from the side of a box while aiming at the enemy. Fire immediately when you hit the ground. Eventually you'll get the hang of it, and you'll be on the top of the list in no time.
