Americana Charts!
Many of you may have read about a movement in music called Americana. Quite often, this is where the artists who are too country for country get played. These stations don't necessarily play one track from an album. Each station picks what they want to feature and gets behind it. They may be public broadcasting station who have a 4-hour country show each day or they may have a full-time format of this music. At any rate, Danni Leigh charts on the Americana Chart @ # 30 with 190 spins and is the # 5 Most Added Artist Of The Week.

Danni On VH1
If you get VH1-Country on your cable channel, then you will get the chance to see Danni Leigh's video "Sometimes" starting this weekend.  We are told that it should air about 35 plays per week in their New Category.  Hopefully, CMT will be the next to air the video . Keep those requests to CMT and GAC coming. You are really helping us out.

Danni Update!
TOUR DATES:
Over the past week or so, we have posted several new tour dates. Please check out our website at www.dannileigh.com  for more information. Keep watching for additional locations that might be in a city near you.

TELEVISION:
The Outdoor Channel will run a one-hour special on the 2001 Country Gold Festival that was filmed last October 2001 in Kumamoto, Japan. Danni Leigh, Chad Brock, Jolie & The Wanted, and Trent Summar and The New Row Mob. The show will air will air at 10 pm CST on Saturday night, January 19th and again at 1:00 am CST on Monday, January 21st. The Outdoor Channel has national distribution with 17 million subscribers. The title of the show is "Out in the Country". Check your cable guide for the channel and time in your area. Be sure and tune in!

CONTEST:
Audium Records has launched a contest that involves the fans. You can enter by requesting Danni Leigh's single "Sometimes" at a country station near you or by requesting the video "Sometimes" at CMT or GAC. GAC is playing it in a light rotation and CMT has still not added it.

Here are the rules of the contest.

The rules are simple. We need YOU to help us divide and conquer the U.S. by requesting the Danni Leigh single and video at your local country radio stations and at CMT or GAC.

Runner up prizes could include any one of the following: t-shirts; an autographed Danni Leigh poster from her “Divide & Conquer� CD; an Audium CD Pack (Danni Leigh, Loretta Lynn, Charlie Daniels, Confederate Railroad, Daryle Singletary, Rhett Akins, and the Webb Pierce Tribute CD).

The Grand Prize Winner will get all of these items plus an autographed guitar and a phone call from Danni Leigh notifying them that they are a winner.

To enter the contest simply request Danni's music or video and visit the website and register. If you vote at CMT or GAC more than once, or call your local radio stations more than once, you can indicate this on your form in parenthesis (15 times) and enter once for that day. Winners will be chosen at random, so enter often.

Entry DEADLINE is APRIL 1, 2002.

Danni Leigh Message Board & Contest
Finally - The new message board at www.dannileigh.com  is back up and running. Right now, we only have three forums posted but will be adding more. You will have to re-register the first time you get on the board, but after that it will be automatic. We have some new features that you should enjoy. Pay a special attention tot he calendar. That's where your birthdays will show up. Thank you for being patient while we made these adjustments. I've missed hearing from you guys as much as you have missed talking to us.

In a few weeks, we will be rolling out a Danni Leigh Contest on the website challenging each of you to vote for Danni Leigh's video at CMT or GAC and to call your local radio stations and request "Sometimes." Each time you do, we will ask you to fill out a form and send it in so we can tabulate who is helping us divide and conquer for Danni Leigh. This is a contest that Audium Records will be running. They are offering runner-up prizes that range from T-shirts, Audium CD packages (Danni Leigh, Charlie Daniels, Confederate Railroad, Loretta Lynn, Webb Pierce Tribute), autographed Danni Leigh posters, and finally an autographed guitar. CMT did not add Danni's video this week. They added Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, and Travis Tritt. They till LOVE the video. They just said they didn't have room.  Since you know Danni shot and delivered a video and some of you may have seen it on GAC while you were traveling during the holiday (get my drift)?, then I think you can start requesting the video. Let's just start a write in campaign now and continue after they are playing.
