Danni Leigh & The
Souvenirs AnnounceTour
Danni Leigh will be touring this year with recording
artists, The Souvenirs. The intentions of this
touring/musicalrelationship are so pure, says Lucky Lawrence of the Souvenirs.
We just want to tour and play country music for an appreciative audience (which is
has become increasingly difficult with the increasing expense of touring). So this
is a relationship brought about by the ever-evolving climate in the Music Business. We
musicians, as a whole, have to change how we think and how we do business. It is so expensive to tour when you're a
Danni Leigh, and very hard to find meaningful dates if you're the Souvenirs. So
we're joining forces to make it work for both acts. We think we have found a solution for Danni and ourselves.
I am honored to have the opportunity to challenge myself to become the
musicians that each of these men are, says Leigh. I have always been told that if you surround yourself with
achievers, you will always succeed. When I heard The Souvenirs music, I knew we were
kindred souls both trying the keep our style of music alive. This innovative touring idea will provide
both artists exposure to each other's fans spreading the word about their music. The Souvenirs will travel with Danni Leigh
and get the opportunity to step out and share some Souvenir's music along the
way. Their debut album
release King Of Heartache was on Will Records. If you saw the recent movie,
The Gift you got a chance to see these guys playing in one of the club scenes.
All of the guys live in and around the Seattle, WA area. If you aren't
familiar with them, check them and their music out at www.thesouvenirs.com and come out and see them in
action on the road!

Danni Leigh News Update
A Shot Of Whiskey & A Prayer
We'd like to thank every one who purchased one of Danni's new CD this past
week. According to SoundScan, our first week sales were 1,109 units. That
was not enough to chart us on the Top 75 Country Chart. The # 75 album sold
1,609 units. But, we think it was GREAT week and thank all of you!
Check out this week's Country Weekly
March 6 Issue on Page 11. Here is what it has to say:
Looks like Madonna, with her new
high-fashion cowgirl look, has borrowed a
page from the Danni Leigh book of style. Danni, who just released
the album
A Shot Of Whiskey & A Prayer, has been showcasing urban cowgirl panache
cowboy hat, boots, tight leather jeans for years. We don't know if
Madonna saw some publicity photos of Danni (she of the low-slung Dwight
Yoakam hat) before the pop diva did her latest album, but it darn well looks
like it could have happened. I
honestly don't know if she's ever seen
me, notes Danni with a chuckle. But,
she adds with a smile, I do respect
her marketing genius when I see her wearing that look. It's funny, because in high school,
I was a trend-setter. And when I go back to visit my high school there are girls who
are keeping the urban cowgirl that I started alive. It's great.
