Danni Leigh's second album “A
Shot Of Whiskey & A Prayer” continues to hold as one of Amazon.com’s Top
10 best sellers in Switzerland (#8), Sweden (#7), and Belgium (#6). This is for all genres
of music! There are NO other country titles in the Top 10 for any of these countries. She
is the only country title represented. This album has been in the top 10 since its release
in February 2001. Danni’s third album “Divide & Conquer” is available for pre-order through Amazon.com for shipping when it is released on November 6, 2001.
Danni Leigh joined Audium label mate Dale Watson at the Sun Studios in Memphis, TN where
they recorded a Christmas duet called “Christmas Love” for his “Christmas
Time In Texas” album scheduled for release on October 9, 2001. Dale asked Danni to
record the duet with him and they were finished on the second take. When you hear it, you
will know why. It is like they were meant to sing it together. More than likely, this
track will be shipped to radio in early November for this year’s seasonal airplay.
Danni also makes a special guest appearance in Dale’s Christmas video for a song
called “Honky Tonk Christmas”. The video will be shipped to CMT and GAC in early
November, so be watching. You never know who will drop in for a Christmas party.

As most of you have heard by now,
we have shut down the Danni Leigh Hillbilly Crank’n Fan Club. I realize that many of
the fans do not have access to the Internet and may miss news about Danni Leigh. Over the
next few months, I will do my best to keep the news current on Danni’s website and
message board. At this time, we have no plans to reactivate the fan club. We appreciate
the offers from so many of you to take it over, but feel we need to keep it closed for the
moment. We have no plans to start a new fan club at this time but when plans change, we
will let you know. We also hope to post a merchandise section to our website in the months
ahead. If you have ideas on how we can improve our communication with you, please let us
know. For right now, we will post news on the site and send out emails to those who have
signed up for news on Danni Leigh.
Some of you have asked about “meet & greet” passes and how that will be
handled in he future. There will not be official “meet & greet” times for
upcoming Danni Leigh shows. Danni is on such a tight schedule these days and many of the
venues do not have rooms that can be used for this purpose. Whenever possible, Danni will
meet you at the Merchandise Table after the shows to sign autographs and visit. There may
be some instances where this is not possible, so check the night of the show to see if
this is happening.

Leigh’s third album, “Divide
& Conquer”, will be
released by Audium Records on Tuesday,
November 6, 2001. The first
single and video is a song called “Sometimes.” As soon as we have plans solidified for the single and video, we will let
you know their release date. For the moment, mark those calendars for the release of
“Divide and Conquer.” Closer to release date, we will also have information on
the dannileigh.com website on where you can pre-order the CD or cassette.
On October 9, Dale Watson will release his “Christmas Time In Texas” album that
will feature a Christmas duet with Danni Leigh called “Christmas Love”. The duet
was cut in the famous Sun Studios in Memphis, TN. There is discussion of releasing this
track as a Christmas single in late November. We will let you know closer to the time so
you can be listening. Also, be watching CMT and GAC later this fall for Dale Watson’s
Christmas video for “Honky Tonk Christmas”, a song also included on the
Christmas CD. The song is played out at a Christmas party where several special guests
drop in bearing gifts and joining the party including Kevin Welch and Danni Leigh.
