JO DEE CO-HOSTS ACM RED CARPET PRESHOW
Jo Dee Messina has never been at a loss for words, so that makes her the perfect celebrity to join "Hit Trip's" Alecia Davis and Jeff Ross as hosts of CMT's ACM Awards Red Carpet Preshow. They'll be hosting the show live on the red carpet in Los Angeles to talk to country music's hottest stars as they arrive for the big night. Of course, it's an especially big night for Jo Dee because she has received her third consecutive ACM nomination for Top Female Vocalist. She'll also be performing on the 36th annual ACM Awards show, which will be broadcast live May 9 on CBS-TV. CMT's ACM Awards Red Carpet Preshow is set for telecast that night at 7 pm ET. The awards show will be broadcast one hour later. (T-100)

MESSINA RUNNING FOR GOOD CAUSE
We mentioned yesterday that Jo Dee Messina will perform for and run in the National Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure benefit to find a cure for breast cancer. The five K race in Washington, DC means a lot to Jo Dee and does a lot of good. Hoping to raise $500,000, Messina is looking for pledges from both her friends inside the music community and beyond. "I am so looking forward to running The Komen National Race for the Cure," Messina says, "and I hope everyone will make a pledge in the name of someone they love even if they have been fortunate enough not to be touched by this disease." Having grown from a local Dallas race with 800 runners/walkers in 1983 to a national series of 111 races with a record-setting 1.3 million participants expected this year, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has raised well over $300 million. Pledge sheets can be downloaded from her website (www.jodeemessina.com). Or pledges can be sent directly to Team Messina at this address: National Race for the Cure, c/o TeamMessina!, 1911 North Fort Myer Drive, Suite 112, Arlington, VA 22209. Remember: Pledges are based on a 5 kilometers, so you can sponsor by sum or by distance. (Nashville Update)

JO DEE'S "BURN" TAPPED FOR SYLVESTER STALLONE FILM
Jo Dee Messina's "Burn" will be featured in Sylvester Stallone upcoming film, titled "Driven." Set against the fast-paced world of open wheel racing, which is also known as Formula 1, is as popular around the world as NASCAR racing is in the U.S. "Driven" features Sly as Burt Reynolds' star race car driver whose life moves as fast as the cars he drives. In the film, "Burn" plays as Sly and his ex-wife have a pivotal conversation in a pool
hall. The song underscores the emotional undercurrent and tension of the scene. Since Jo Dee has previously gained attention during her concert performances in Australia, England, Japan and Europe already, executives at her record company are expecting "Driven" to expose her music to a broader
pop audience throughout the world. The Warner Bros. film premieres worldwide on April 27th. (T-100)
