MARTINA DROPPED IN ON THE CHAT

Martina made a surprise visit to the chat week before last and we got lots of interesting news straight from Martina herself. I edited the transcript to eliminate some extraneous chatter to make things easier to follow.

(BTW, a number of people have asked how we know it's really Martina. Occasionally someone thinks it's cute to come into the chat and try to imitate Martina, John, Liz, etc. This is strictly prohibited and these people are banned from the site. Darren and I have several ways we can verify that it's really Martina, but in this case John McBride was on the phone with Darren when they logged in.)

CMT AWARDS

Reminder: Voting is will end Sunday for preliminary round in the CMT Awards. Martina has been nominated in four categories:

Female Video Of The Year (Blessed)
Video Concept of the Year (God-Fearin' Women)
Fashion Plate Video of the Year (Blessed)
LOL (Laugh out Loud) Video of the Year (God-Fearin' Women)

In addition, Deaton-Flannigan received a nomination in the Video Director of the Year category for "Blessed."

This round of voting will determine the five nominees in each category for the final round of voting. Final nominees will be announced and second round voting will begin Tuesday, May 14.

Let's help Martina become a final nominee in all five categories. You must register at CMT and each registered user can only vote once.

One observation: Although can can vote for as many as five nominees in each category, if you vote for anyone besides Martina in her categories, it "dilutes" your vote for Martina. Voting only for Martina in those categories gives your vote the greatest punch.
