(Launch) - Martina McBride is really on a roll these days. The singer is just coming off of a win for Female Vocalist of the Year by the Country Music Association Awards as well as a five week stint at No. 1 on the Billboard country charts for her single "I
Love You." If it seems like her life is perfect well, it is. She told Launch: "There is really nothing I would change. It feels perfect. It's almost scary because when your life is going so well you kind of wait for, I don't know, for the other shoe to drop or
whatever. No I have the perfect life. I've been able to have a wonderful career, an incredible family and support from my family and my husband and sometimes I
have to sit back and pinch myself to make sure it's really...I'm not dreaming you know? It's just amazing." InfoBeatMartina McBride celebrated the success of her most
recent No. 1 hit single, "I Love You", at a party thrown in her honor on Tuesday (Nov. 16) in Nashville. "I Love You" has been at the top of the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart for five weeks, while McBride's new album, Emotion, remains in the top 10 on the country album chart.
While McBride says she instantly knew she had to record the song, she never expected the success that followed. "I don't think anybody ever really anticipates that, or can even think that they know what's going to happen with a song when you release
it," she tells LAUNCH. "I mean, I love the song, and when I heard it I thought it was something really special, and I thought it sounded like a song that people would respond to, but certainly this has exceeded all our expectations." "I Love You" was also featured on the soundtrack to the movie, Runaway Bride, starring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. McBride's next single is called "Love's The Only House." There is no official release date at this time.

'Pumping out the Albums' is not the credo of Martina McBride. In fact Martina says she intentionally lets two years pass between her projects to give her a buffer-zone. McBride says a lot can happen in two years and that can change the perspective that she takes heading in to the studio. The delay allows her to 'grow' as a person.
This is a somewhat similar sentiment expressed by Eric Clapton who has long professed that the more life you live the greater your ability to interpret 'life' in music.
