MARTINA'S AN AUNT AGAIN!
Marty and Valeria Schiff just had a baby Girl !!! (For those new to MartinaLand, Marty
Schiff is Martina's brother and also plays guitar in the band) MacKenzie Jeanne Schiff was
born on Thursday, Jan. 13th at 4:22pm weighing an even 6 lbs. and 18 inches long. Everyone
is doing fine.
Congradulations Marty and Valeria!!!

Martina McBride puts a feminine
touch on "Love's the
Only House," a song originally written for a male singer. Martina, who recorded the
tune for her album Emotion, says she liked its theme of compassion and forgiveness:
"I just thought it was really a message that needed to be heard."

Martina will be appearing on the
Grand Ole Opry on Friday, January 21 and both shows on Saturday, January 22. There's only
one performance of the Opry on Fridays, from 7:30-10:00 CT. On Saturday nights
there are two shows: 6:30-9:00 and 9:30-12:00 CT.
Martina will also be participating in the live chat from backstage at the Opry Friday
night (1/21), from 7:30-8:00 PM CST. To get in on the chat, go to the Opry's Web site
at http://www.opry.com.
You can listen to the Opry on WSM-AM at 650 KHz on the dial. WSM was supposed to start
Webcasting "by the end of the year" (1999) but so far it hasn't happened. Maybe
by Jan. 21....If so, we can all listen on the Web!

Earlier this week, Martina
McBride received a Grammy nomination for "I Love You" which appeared in the
Julia Roberts/ Richard Gere film "Runaway Bride."
According to The Tennessean, McBride's music has landed on another soundtrack for the new
year. The upcoming Natalie Portman/Ashley Judd movie, "Home Is Where The Heart
Is," will feature Martina's "There You Are" from her Emotion album.
Newcomer Jennifer Day
("The Fun Of Your Love") is also expected to appear on the soundtrack. Look for
the Home Is Where The Heart Is soundtrack to hit stores in April. "I Love You"
is currently Billboard's No. 13 Hot Country Single.
