There’s something very exciting about being on the cutting edge of a breaking new artist.  You feel it the moment that first song spins and you know instantly that the singer will be huge.

Allison Moorer has been creating this type of buzz since the release of her debut album, Alabama Song, back in 1998.  Originally known as the younger sister of country superstar Shelby Lynne, Allison stands on her own now as a tremendous songwriter and singer with the release of her new album, Miss Fortune, due in stores August 6th.

Miss Fortune demonstrates Allison’s progression as both a singer and a writer.  Allison explores new territory outside of her Nashville roots to deliver a charming blend of country-rock and gospel funk.  The result is a
ground-breaking sound that isn’t easily defined, yet undeniably retains Allison’s trademark Southern soul.   The first single, “Cold In California,” is already heating up the airwaves nationwide.
