Allison Moorer, Miss Fortune (three out of four stars): Having failed to find commercial success to match the critical acclaim of her first two albums, this sultry Nashville songstress is no longer being billed as a "country" singer. But the change in designation doesn't substantially alter Moorer's sound, except perhaps to slightly broaden an already expansive Southern sound to include the Exile on Main Street guitar rhythms of Going Down and the dreamy blue-eyed-soul balladry of Steal the Sun. - Brian Mansfield
