Evans' Born to Fly Soars to
Platinum
Sara Evans
was surprised with a platinum album award Sunday night (July 15)
backstage of the Girls' Night Out show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The award was
presented to Evans by RCA top brass Joe Galante and Butch Waugh for selling more than a
million copies of her third album, Born to Fly. The album is her first to reach platinum status. Fittingly, her currrent single is called
"I Could Not Ask for More." Evans was deeply moved by the reaction of band
members, crew, family and friends that greeted with her wild applause and shouts of
congratulations. 07/17/01 www.country.com

artist featured in the new, limited CMT series, CMT Total Release, which premieres at 7 p.m. ET Sept. 8.

We'll spend time with them on the road, in the studio, and also find out what they do when
they're not working -- all with insight and details on their newest music release."
The first episode will profile Keith's upcoming album, Pull My Chain. There also will be

Welll, it's done. More or
less. The Suzy Bogguss Archive is up and running again. There are more photos than the old

weeks. The concert reviews have been taken from topica.com,
so if I used your review and you don't want me to, let me know. I'll remove it
immediately. Also, if want to review an album or concert, have a fan story, or anything
related to Suzy that you want to share, click on "contact me" on the site and
send me an e-mail. I'll post it on the site. Take a look, sign the guestbook and let
me know what you think. http://bogguss0.tripod.com/archive

Mountain Soul
For those who are
unaware, Patty is not getting very much radio play at all. It's up to all of us to help
her and get out there and request her music! She needs us now, and I know we, her fans
wont let her down:0) What I have been doing for the past few singles is emailing every
radio in every single state in the United States that have a website. You can go to their
site, and simply look for "request" or "contact us". I simply request
the newest Patty song or for them to add it to their playlist (believe it or not, many
stations do not have her on their playlist.). Now, there are PLENTY of email addresses on
this list. Some may not want to do all these states. Some may want only their state. Go
for it:-) I've just chosen to do all fifty states to get her out there. Yes, it does take
some time. It usually takes me about two weeks to get all fifty states done and thats
about 4 hours every night Im online- but getting her on the radio is WORTH all of that
time. Patty really needs more radio play. It's up to all of us to make sure she gets that
radio play that she deserves! https://www.angelfire.com/tn/pattyradio/radio.html
is the link to the listing of all 50 states.

Rascal Flatts Dressed Down by Haggard
Rascal Flatts are big fans
of Merle Haggard, and were thrilled when offered
the chance to meet him. "He said, 'Well what kind of music do you boys play?'"
recalls RF's Jay DeMarcus. "And I said, 'Well we play country, Mr. Haggard.' And he
said, 'Not with them damn earrings you don't.'" (WGAR) www.wgar.com

knows? Maybe it will be one of Stacey's favorites too and she'll record it! Everyone that
sends me their favorite song will be entered into a drawing for a cool "Stacey
prize"!
I'll post the favorites after a winner is chosen on July 25 (sort of like Christmas in
July!). You've got 22 days so cover yourself in holiday cheer and get to work!!! No

In more good news, "It's

a quantity of black tar heroin and drug paraphernalia and the couple was
arrested. Carter is best known for her early 90's hits "I Fell In Love" and

THE "GIRLS" HELP
AMERICA'S HUNGRY
Folks buying tickets for
the upcoming "Girls'
Night Out"
tour, which features Reba
McEntire, Martina McBride, Sara Evans, Jamie O'Neal and Carolyn Dawn Johnson, will be able to do more than see a
fantastic show.Sure, you can't think of many things more exciting than seeing these ladies
onstage -- but what if you could help needy people in your area? It has been announced
that the "Girls' Night Out" tour has entered into a charitable partnership with
USA Harvest. You might recall that USA Harvest joined Reba on her "Singer's
Diary" tour a couple of years ago and collected an impressive 46,800+ pounds of food.
To give you an idea of just how huge that is -- consider that 46,000 pounds of food
translates into over 92,000 meals! Here's the thing -- USA Harvest doesn't accept money --
they only take donations of food and they're supported solely by volunteers. Here's how
the partnership works. Between July 13th and August 18th, USA Harvest will place
collection points at each of the concert venues (except for Las Vegas, Paso Robles,
California and Louisville, Kentucky). All you need to do is bring your donation of
non-perishable food. Here's the best part -- the items will be distributed locally by USA
Harvest, which has become America's fastest growing program to feed the nation's hungry.
In 14 years, the agency has grown to annually distribute between 355 and 375 million
pounds of food to soup kitchens and missions across the nation. To find out when the
"Girls'
Night Out" tour is coming to your area, log on to Reba's official website, www.Reba.com. For more information on USA Harvest,
check out their website,
www.USAHarvest.com , or call 1-800-USA-4-FOOD.
