Hey Kinley Fans,
I hope everyone is having a great summer and looking forward to the Kinleys  3rd album, which they currently are in the studio working on. Question...How  many of you would REALLY like to help make the Kinleys a household name?  Well, there is a new club that some of us have formed called the "Kinley   Crew." If you join, we will have projects that we feel will help promote the Kinleys and show our girls how much they mean to us. For instance, our first  project is to get as many Kinley videos we can into the "CMT Labor Day Top  100 Videos." We will have contests, prizes, official Kinley Crew t-shirts  and more. This is for the serious Kinley Fan only :) But I hope you guys will join, it's gonna be fun. I hope everyone is having a great week. Just wanted to let you guys know that the Kinleys have decided to pull "YSH" from radio due to low airplay. Below you will find the email Jennifer sent me when I questioned her about it. The way it looks, great things will be happening soon for the Kinleys. Also, it's that time again! Please vote for the girl's "I'm In" video on CMT's Top 100 Year End Videos. "Matt,
Thank you so much for all you've done to help the single!!! Your passion  about this makes us so very thankful!!! Now, let me explain what's happened.
Radio as a whole, the consultants consulting all the stations, they're not  digging "The Kinleys II". Whether it's the edgy production, or the songs ,they don't like, I'm not sure. But at this point, coming out with another single is impossible. Our label will not put any more money into this album because of the vibe they're getting from radio. If you want my theory, radio wants music that is safe, straight down the middle, and in retrospect, I don't think "The Kinleys II" is that. I think the music on our album would make radio have to take a chance to play it, since it's pretty different and  rockin' pretty hard. Does this make sense to you?
However, on the up side...don't get discouraged because Heather and I are now working with a producer named Scott Hendricks, who's launched artist
after artist all by himself, namely...Faith Hill, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Deana Carter, John Michael Montgomery...the list goes on. He's AMAZING, very talented, and we're flattered that he's pursued working with us, since we've been a big fan of his work for a long time. In fact, when he was the label head at Capitol Records, he offered us a record deal over there, but we decided to go with Sony since we had contacts and friends there. Matt, I know you have an e-mail list, and feel free to let them know what I've told you in this letter. If you want to, forward this message on, since I'm sure a lot of people will be curious about what's going on. And remember, think of this as a positive step in the right direction....don't get discouraged.... Thanks again for all your support Matt!!!!!!!!! Like Dad says, KEEP THE FAITH!!
