A "LIFETIME" OF TUBE TIME WITH THE KINLEYS
Being one of country music's top acts doesn't often leave a lot of time to relax. But, for Heather and Jennifer Kinley, there's one thing they love to do - watch TV. Plus, both sisters admit that their favorite shows are "Golden Girls" and "Lifetime Live." Heather says, quote, "Lifetime is by far our favorite channel. We just love it, especially "Golden Girls. It just never gets old with me." Heather also reveals a surprising "Golden Girls" addict - her husband, Mark! Jennifer agrees with her sister's choices but clarifies that that she can't get her husband, Adam anywhere near the program. They also say they admire "Lifetime Live" host Dana Reeves - wife of actor/director Christopher Reeve. Jennifer admits that she really admires
the spiritual quality that seems to radiate from Dana. She says, quote,
"She 's just a great person, it reeks from her." Speaking of radiating, in the coming months, you can catch the Kinleys shining onstage across the country. (T-100)

Billboard!

ARE YOU "IN" FOR LAUGHING WITH THE KINLEYS?
Before the Kinleys became one of the most successful duos in country music, they paid their dues like everyone else. They admit they took gigs anywhere they could -- even when attendance wasn't always great. Did you know that once, they didn't even have an audience? It's true! It all happened one night long ago while the duo played at a Day's Inn in Nashville. The sisters saw their audience dwindle from four people to just the bartender, but played on because they were still getting paid. That was until the bartender was called away too -- Heather and Jennifer stopped singing, but not for the
reason you might think. They weren't offended, they had to stop because they were laughing so hard they couldn't sing another note!
Now, we may know the Kinley sisters for their velvet harmonies, but if fate worked our differently, we may have know them for something else -- acting. At 15, the twosome tried out for a Double Mint chewing gum commercial (remember the ditty, "Double your pleasure, double your fun"?). Well, the producers were looking for "athletic twins" so they put Jennifer and Heather in bikinis and asked them play ping-pong. Trouble is, girls couldn't play ping-pong. "The ball was off the table more than it was on," Jennifer admitted to CMT in a recent interview. Heather added, "We could see what they were taping so we started cracking up because every second, one of us would be chasing the ball. We were supposed to be playing and putting on this nice little act. But, we just started laughing and had the best time. Our sides were hurting and we were thinking, 'We need to leave!'" Needless to say, they didn't get the commercial. Good for the rest of us though, their current single, "I'm In," is "bouncing" up the charts! (T-100)

THE KINLEYS ARE "INTO" MELODY
As the Kinleys launch into the new century, one trademark that follows them is their distinctive harmony. In fact, Heather says that their current album, II, was a perfect blend of music and material. "I feel like we've grown so much [since our first album]," she explains. "Separately and together we've changed personally and musically." Adding that the album reflects a newfound maturity. "We're not as new and not as green," says Heather. "It feels so good." It was that same feeling that drew the sisters to their current single, "I'm In." "When our producer, Radney Foster, first played the song for us, I related to it right away," explains Heather. "It blew both of us away." Jennifer agrees, saying that it was the song's "combination of melodies" that got her to say, "I'm in," adding, "It was exactly what we were looking for." (T-100)

I'm In
--"I'm In" held at #41 this week with an airplay gain of 137 spins in Billboard. (So close to breaking the Top 40!)
--"I'm In" held at #12 on the country singles sales chart.
--"I'm In" was the 37th most played video on CMT last week and the 17th most played video on GAC.
However, on the Gavin chart (the third biggest chart--behind Billboard and R&R--"I'm In" jumped from #40 to #36!) The R&R chart was unavailable this week. So please request this week whenever you can, especially with After Midnite. 1-800-722-NITE
Also, on CMT Canada's Chevy Top 20, "I'm In" moved up one more place to #10. So "I'm In" appears to be making a name for itself in the North! But we  really need to be requesting the video here in the states as well. That is  one area that tends to be neglected sometimes. I know that I sure forget  about it. So please continue requesting the video at CMT http://www.country.com/cmt/on-cmt/on-cmt-request-f.html and at GAC for the   Top 15 Video Countdown. www.countrystars.com This really is a super  video, doesn't it deserve to be in the Top 15? Just go to the Vote For  Videos section.
And finally, here's the Kinley's January schedule given by Mr. Kinley. I  should have an updated concert schedule next week. So everyone please have a  super week and please KEEP REQUESTING I'M IN!
