Chapter 14
It was a month later. Brian, Nick, Ash, and I were having a cook out to celebrate Mellissa (called her that so we wouldn't get confused with 2 Abby's, everyone had started calling me Abby now) turning 1 month and Allie and Nicole (We called her Nicole so we wouldn't get confused with 2 Ashley's) being 2 months old.
It was also a sad occasion cause The boys' plans had changed and they were going on a 4 month tour tommorrow. It was decided it would be best for Ash and I to stay home another month.
Ash and I were trying to make salad in the kitchen while Brian was at the grill and Nick was cleaning the yard.
"Damn it!" I heard Brian yell from outside.
"Guess it won't light," I commented to Ash. She laughed as the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it," I cried out. I ran to the door and opened it. It was the Carters and Kevin.
"We thought we could help out," Kevin told me.
"Great, Bj can help in the kitchen. Aaron and Leslie can help Nick clean the yard and Jane and Leslie can you help us with Mellissa, Nicole, and Allie."
"Sure."
"What can we do?" Kevin and Bob asked.
"You can help Brian with the grill. Just follow the swear words."
Kevin laughed and we went to our jobs.
10 minutes later we heard Bob yell, "Shit!"
"Guess they're not much help," BJ joked.
We laughed as Kevin hollered, " Damn!"
2 hours later we had set everything up and everyone had arrived. In addition to our bands and their families we had NSYNC, Will Smith and Jada, Fatima, and our other buds Erin, Katy, Blair, Randy, Eric, Ryan, and Jamie.
We were playing dance music and Brian and I were dancing with Allie and Nicole.
"We want to sing for our friends a song we wrote," Justin was saying. The rest of NSYNC grabbed little microphones.
When they finished I clapped as loud as I could with a kid in my hands. They walked over to us.
"What'd ya think?" JC asked.
"It was beautiful," I told him.
Chris was looking at Allie. "Can I hold her? I've only seen pictures and those were in magazines."
"Sure." I handed her to him and Brian handed Nicole to Lance.
They passed the girls around. Allie and Nicole loved the attention. We couldn't pry them away from the guys so they held them and went to see Mellissa. Just then CLOSE started playing on the radio.
"May I have this dance?" Brian asked and held his out to me. I grabbed it and we danced the night away.
Later after everyone had left Brian was laying on the couch. I plopped down on top of him.
"Where are the girls?"
"Asleep."
"Promise me you'll try not to call at 2 AM while your gone."
"I didn't mean to."
"I know. Allie and Nicole will miss you."
"I'll call and talk to them."
"OK."
I heard him breathing heavily next to me. He had fallen asleep. I kissed him good night and thought about the next morning.
We woke up at 6 AM and left for the bus. When we got there Nick handed me a box.
"Give this to Ash after we leave."
"OK"
He kissed Ash good bye and got on the bus. Brian walked over to me he hugged me tight and gave me a long kiss.
"I'll be back soon."
"By then I'll probably be on tour."
"Then I'll go too."
He kissed me again and got on the bus.
Before Ash and I knew it they had left. We sat on the sidewalk and I pulled out the package for Ash.
"Nick told me to give this to you." She laughed.
"Brian told me to give this to you." She handed me a box.
We opened them and gasped. Ash had gotten a ring with a note that read: Ash I'm sorry we have to be apart so much but when you miss me look at the ring and remember I promise to love you forever.
I had gotten a necklace with a cross and a note that read: Abby I love you and wish we could be together more but when you miss me look at this necklace and remember we share our kids, love, and God. I'll be back soon.
I looked at Ash and we burst into tears. We cried until we had no more tears left and we drove home to wait for the guys to be back home again.
