Futaba 9Z WC2

Caution: some modifications describe below may possible break the warranty of you radio. Please take as your risk.

I got my 9Z WC2 from local hobby shop and I really like it after spending time to understand its functions. It comes with a synthesized transmission module, a R309 synthesized dual conversion receiver, four S9252 digital servo, 64K Compac and some accessories that usually comes with radio combos. Yes, it is an Asia version of 9Z Heli, which is using mode 1 stick. To suit my flying mode (mode 2), I have to do some modification on it. (Even the local hobbies shop has done some conversion already, it still not in full mode 2.)

Great feature in 9Z

Powerful and flexible trimming

The 9Z has two slider in its two side and has a larger LCD displayer. The two sticks are supported by ball bearings, so they are moved

Mode 1 To Mode 2 Conversion

After my modification job, I have to reset the radio entirely. (The detail of the conversion job, you can find in http://www.model-gadgets.com/ .) There is no any function available for resetting the radio as I know, so I disassemble the radio. As you can see on the photo below, there is a lithium battery inside the radio. The resetting process is simple by using a metal wire to connect the positive and negative of the Li-battery for a few second. After the reset is done, you just need to reassemble the radio and turn it on. There will be a warning message showing when you first time turn the radio on and telling you that all models in the radio is gone. Congratulation, the reset process is done.
