The death occurred in Copper Cliff on Monday morning of Mrs. Henry Hodgins. Deceased was 86 years old and had been ill for a short time at the home of her son,23 Rink Street. She was well known in Espanola and Copper Cliff and is survived by her husband, two sons, William and John of Copper Cliff and two daughters, Mrs. T.W. Martell of Sudbury and Mrs. Geo Duplessis of Espanola. The Funeral was held this morning at 9:00 o'clock from 23 Rink Street to St. Stanislaus Church, Copper Cliff, thence to the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Sudbury.

JOHN HENRY HODGINS
A resident of Espanola for 35 years and of Sudbury for the past four years, John Henry Hodgins died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Peter Martelle, 377 Eva St., last night, after an illness of two months. Mr. Hodgins was born in Tipperary, Ireland. 87 years ago and came to Canada at the age of 21. He settled first in Pembroke and was married there, his wife predeceasing him five years ago . He lived in Copper Cliff for a period in the early days and then settled on a farm near Espanola, retiring only ten years ago. He was a Roman Catholic and a lifelong member of the Liberal party in politics. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Martelle, of Sudbury; Mrs. George Duplessess, of Espanola; and two sons, William and Jack of Copper Cliff. There are also 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral takes place tomorrow from the residence of his son-in-law and daughter, 377 Eva St., to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church with interment in the Roman Catholic cemetery. The pall-bearers will be Messrs. Peter Martelle, William and Jack Hodgins, sons, and James, Leonard and Michael Hodgins, grandsons.
