Champaign Spring Tournament April 19, 2003

Play will begin at 10 am with a round robin followed by playoffs.

Play will be 6 on 6 with 10 players per team.

Banquet at a local restaurant will follow with a Champaign style party
afterwards at the Hockey House (directions will be provided at the pool)

Entry fee is $20 but does not include banquet – pay individually
(Restaurant does not accept credit cards)

The pool is located inside the main sports facility, the Intramural
Physical Education Building – or IMPE, on the middle level. It is
located just north of the Memorial stadium. The main entrance is off of
Peabody.

To get to the pool, take University Ave. to 1st St going south. From
there, turn left (east) onto Peabody. If you cross Florida, you’ve gone
too far. Please note that 4th Street is temporarily closed and Peabody
can only be accessed from 1st Street.

There is a parking lot on the corner of 1st and Peabody for the building
but it is metered 24/7. Street parking is also available or the parking
lot on the corner of 4th and Pennsylvania, free on weekends, may be your
best spot to park.

As already posted, this years April Fools Tournament has been moved from
our usual date to April 19.

Since we missed our tournament last fall, consider this the Uncle Terry
Birthday Trench Warfare Drunktastic Tournament.

Its a one day tournament with the typical Champaign shenanigans at
night.
Our new pool is a good tile bottom with a double slope--gotta love the
big
ol trench in the middle of play. It will be a team tournament, max 10 to
a team-partial teams and individuals can be accomodated. Please email
me,
kim (skukas@uiuc.edu), or sarah (smmillr1@uiuc.edu) with interest.

Afterwards, expect an assortment of good ol' grassroots hot tub fun at
the
original US Hockey House. Come see where we got our reputation from.

You booze..
