What: Pacific Coast Championships for Underwater Hockey 2004

Mixed (Max. 3 Men in the water) and Open Divisions
 
Where: San Jose State University, San Jose, California.
Two playing areas of flat bottom with a slight slope.  Pool bottom is
Sport Court and walls rise up about one foot.
 
When: October 8-10, 2004
Tournament play will start on Friday Oct. 8th.   The number of teams
signing up will determine how long we will be at the pool each day. 
Plan on starting by 9am Friday morning.
 
Deadlines for entry: September 8th for early entry.  Priority will be
given to teams which are close enough to dip their toes in the Pacific
Ocean.   Non-Pacific Coast teams will be added on September 9th in the
order of the date money is received.
 
How Much:  $950USD ($1250CAN) per team, $1100USD ($1500CAN) per team
after the early entry deadline.

Note: you must pay your USOA dues before you can play.  This is a USOA
sanctioned tournament.  Contact Carol Rose (croseusoa@at @aol.com) for
forms and to send your money.

Recommended Accommodation:  School will be in session, so unfortunately
we don't have access to the dorms.  We are working on other inexpensive
accommodation.  A preferred hotel has not been determined yet; we're
working on something close to the pool so that you won't have to get
rental cars.  Parking on campus is very limited/restricted.
 
Ref Clinic-
We're bringing in Simon Talbot, Australian Chief Referee to come and
hold a clinic.  Learn HOW to ref:  in the water, on dry land, and by
watching videos with our expert.   This will be an incredibly valuable
clinic~ plan to attend!
 
Banquet-
When: Sunday, October 10th.  
Where: tbd
The cost is included in the entry fees.  Prices for extra tickets will
be announced later.
 
Camporama- Ocean Cove Camping Monday - Wednesday.   Self explanatory,

Other special considerations:
Some food will be available for purchase poolside- burgers, etc.
