Day 01Lima

 

Upon arrival reception and transfer to your Hotel

 

Day 02Lima

 

Breakfast

A.M. A 31 Km. Coastal drive to visit the Pachacamac ruins, which were a famous place of Pilgrimage during the Inca period.

Lunch at La Rosa Nautica, in case of Groups with a Folk Show

P.M. Visit to the world famous ¨Gold museum¨, a private collection of over 8000 gold pieces of the ancient pre-Inca cultures such as Chavin, Paracas, Mochica and Chimu.

 


 

 

Day 03Lima / Arequipa

 

Breakfast

At the appropiate time transfer to the airport to take a flight to Arequipa, upon arrival reception and transfer to the Hotel.

In the afternoon a brief city tour including: Yanahuara District, the Plaza de Armas and The Cathedral, the ¨Iglesia de la Compañía¨ and finally Santa Catalina Convent will be visited.

 


 

Day 04Arequipa - Colca

 

Breakfast

Early in the morning departure to Colca, travelling on the Cabreira highway over the Charcani snow-capped mountain. En route you will have the opportunity to appreciate the Aguada Blanca Dam, Pampa Cañahua, the Vicuñas National Reserve and park, the Sumbay, where pre-historic man has left traces hand side you will go by the beginning of the Majes irrigation project.

After a cold lunch at the typical town of Yabque, we will visit the church famous for its volcanic stone portal, similar to ¨Sillar¨. Then proceed to the town of Maca to visit its typical church of moorish influence we also can apreciate a Group of pre-Inca Thombs, the Chivay Market, the Bridge. Dinner. Overnight at the Hotel.

 


 

 

Day 05Colca - Arequipa

 

Breakfast

After breakfast approximately 8:30 Hws we will go to ¨The Cruz del Cóndor¨, through the town of Pinchollo, where we can appreciate the impressive depth of the Colca Canyon, considered one of the deepest in the world (approx 3990 Mts. Deep), the biggest consolidation of pre-Inca platforms may be found there, it is also the habitat of the majestic ¨Cóndor¨, we will then proceed to the furthest depth of the Canyon to go to Tapay, a town embedeed in the slopes of the Canyon, after crossing the bridge over the Colca, we return to the Hotel, where after lunch we initiate our return to Arequipa and transfer to your Hotel.

 

Day 06Arequipa/Cuzco & Pisaq & Ollantaytambo

 

Breakfast

Early in the morning transfer to the airport to take a flight to Cuzco. Upon arrival reception and transfer to your Hotel.

 

In the morning departure to Pisaq, this little village has the most attractive and colorful handicraft market in the Cuzco area. A mass in Quechua is held with the assistance of the majors from the nearby villages. Lunch at a typical restaurant. In the afternoon a guided tour of the famous fortress of Ollantaytambo. Accomodation at a Hotel in Yucay.

 

Day 07Cuzco

 

Breakfast. Morning free.

 


In the afternoon a three hour guided sightseeing tour of Cuzco, including: Main Square, Cathedral, Koricancha Palace (Santo Domingo) and nearby ruins of Puka Pukara, Kenko, Tambomachay and the famous fortress of Sacsayhuaman

 

Day 08Cuzco - Machu Pichu

 

Breakfast

Transfer to the station to take the train to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival guided visit of the magnificent ruins. Lunch at Machu Picchu. Accomodation at Hotel in Machu Picchu or Aguas Calientes.

 

Day 09Machu PichuCuzco

 

Breakfast Morning free, you will be able to visit the ruins again, to do a Mini-Trekk or visit Wiñay Wayna.

In the afternoon return by train to Cuzco and accomodation at the Hotel.

 

Day 10Cuzco – Puno

 

Breakfast

By bus to Puno, it takes approximately 8 hours. Upon arrival reception and transfer to your Hotel.

 

Day 11Uros & Taquile

 

Breakfast

Early in the morning departure by launch to the Uros Indian floating Reed Island and continue by launch to Taquile, one of the three mains islands on the peruvian side of the Titikaka Lake, well known for its famous handicrafts works. Lunch. In the afternoon return to Puno and transfer to your Hotel

 


 

 

Day 12Puno - Juliaca / Lima

Breakfast

Transfer to the airport to take a flight to Lima. Upon arrival reception and transfer to your Hotel.

 

Day 13Lima / Iquitos - Cruise ( it must be a sunday)

 

Breakfast

Transfer to the airport to take a flight to Iquitos. Upon arrival reception and transfer to board M/V Amazonas or M/V Arca. A shor briefing about services and programas. Dinner on board.

 

Day 14Cruise

 

Breakfast.


Early in the morning Bird observation and visit the Yaguas Community. Dance demonstration and time to buy typical handicrafts. Lunch In the afternoon visit to Pevas town, one of the oldest Amazon Towns. Dinner

 

 

Day 15Cruise

 

Breakfast.

Early visit the boarder city of Santa Rosa. Transfer to Leticia (Colombia) and Tabatinga (Brazil). Lunch

Then begin the return journey to Iquitos.

Boat excursion. Dinner

 

Day 16Cruise

 

Breakfast.

Early in the morning mini-trekk to visit the small town of Chimbote. Lunch. In the afternoon a short visit to the town of San Pablo, free time. Night excursion to appreciate the sounds of the jungle and observe typical ¨ Caiman¨ Dinner

 

Day 17Cruise

 

Breakfast.

An small visit to the town of Pijuayal, then continue down to Rio Ampiyacu to visit the Boras and Huitoto Communities, where you may appreciate foklorik demonstration of boths comunities. Lunch.

In the afternoon small excursion through the Apayacu river

 

Day 18Cruise - Iquitos / Lima

 

Breakfast. Arrival to Iquitos and transfer to the airport to take a flight to Lima. Upon arrival reception and transfer to your Hotel

 

P.M. City tour, this tour covers both Colonial and Modern Lima. Beginning with the Cathedral with its Religious museum and the Plaza de Armas with the Government Palace nearby. Afterwards you will pass by the Court of the Inquisition, Torre Tagle Palace, Church of San Francisco, the main Railroad Station (Desamparados), Bullring (Plaza de Acho), Alameda de los Descalzos. Along the ¨Paseo de la República¨ to the elegan residential areas of San Isidro and Miraflores, the Olive Groves and El Mirador where you will enjoy an spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean.

 

Day 19Lima - IcaParacas

 

Breakfast. Morning departure from Lima Hotel. Drive south on the Panamerican highway to Ica (300 kms. Or 186 Mi.), Wine capital of Peru. Arrival and flight over the World famous Nazca Markings. Lunch at Hotel Las Dunas.

In the afternoon a brief city tour of Ica, including the Regional Museum, then continue to Paracas and accomodation at the Hotel

 


 

 

Day 20Paracas / Lima

 

Breakfast.

Early morning yatch cruise to Ballestas Islands inhabited by boobies, pelicans, sea lions and Humboldt penguins; you will also see the ¨Candelabro¨ on the way to the Islands After a pleasant lunch at your Hotel, return along the Pacific coast to Lima and your Hotel

At the appropriate time transfer to the airport to take your flight back home.
