that lists some Brantleys, but earlier than you were looking for, so if you can tie
into these Brantleys in Halifax, let me know if you are interested.
It lists Bethia Brantley, widow of Robert R. Brantley,
m. Bartholemew Barrow. Robert's will(not listed here), was dated
6 Mar 1803, probated in May.
In it he spells his wife differently, Bithur, then daughters Harriet
Brantley and Sarah Brantley, Halifax Co Will Book 3, pg. 385.
Harriet m. Henry Doggett of Halifax, in 1817.
"It is presumed both daughters died without issue."
There was also a Margaret Brantley listed, who married John
"Jack" Pittman, the son of Arthur Pittman. John Pittman's will was probated 1846.
Hers in 1854.

Approximately 10 unmarked graves were mentioned to be there. Even the
stones had been removed from the site.
James Pyland, Arthur Wills, and James Wilson appraised the estate of John
Brantley on 26 April 1725. James Pyland and Elizabeth Sparkman
were witnesses to the will of Thomas Fiveash, dated 4 January 1725/6. Stephen
Kea's estate was appraised by James Pyland, John Brantley,
and Peter
Fiveash. The appraisal was recorded 26 June 1727. On 19 April 1727 James
Pyland and John Welch witnessed the will of Henry Kea. A few days later, on 28
April, James Pyland and James
Wilson were appointed executors of the will of Hester Brantley,
who was their second cousin once removed.
