Information on John, Jr. is incomplete but we do know the following:

• He purchased land in Nash county (see description)

• John Brantley, Junior's son, William Brantley remained in Nash county.  William married Sarah Cockrell, 31 Mar 1827 (marriage bond date)

• Son Josiah Brantley shown in the 1800 Nash county census later moved to Texas.
