The Lie Brie Why sit and ferment like a piece of french cheese on the way to work when you can unwrap the waxy layers of a million red balls of funky made novels that can mirror your life, and smile like a laughing cow much to the annoyance of all around?
It was while trawling my tubey path to the doughnut that i rekindled my need to reed, and forget about the fatty unfulfilling day ahead in doughsville. From the Marylebone library i borrowed, books without risk, the merest whisp of dried stilton and it was back on the shelf, without the feeling of "I paid ten quid for it i'll have to read it all now". Here you will find a selection of gems i discovered and a little Dairylea triangle I rattled out one weekend. |

253- Geoff Ryman It seems only fitting i should begin with a novel based on the Bakerloo line. The line which leads to Marylebone library itself.
253 is a unique novel that began on the internet. It allows the reader to explore the minds of all 253 passengers and explore their interactions with fellow passengers....just before the train crashes. Click right to read it in it's entirety. |

Yes, I am a generation X'er, although not as extreme as portrayed in Couplands novel. We do not subscribe to the values our parents hold, choosing to live for the moment, seize opportunities if and when they come, and see the world as our playground, rather than a few lines of text in a daily newspaper and lead a transitory existence as we cruise through it. More demanding, more media literate, refusing to be taken for a ride by the evil marketing men, we know the score. This book is also filled with wonderful 'Neo-Logisms' " |
dead letter office? So everyone has a novel in them? Maybe, but it feels my last attempt has a bit too much of me in the novel, I doubt this will ever grow, but click left on the doughnut to go there.... |
