All characters except Vincent and Cait Sith:
1-1, 2-1, 3-1 : You must use the limit 8 times to learn the second limit of the same level.
1-2, 2-2 : Kill 80 enemies to learn the first limit of the next level.
#4 : You have learned the 3-2 limit and find the item for the limit.

For Cait Sith:
Cait Sith only has two limit breaks, Dice and Slots.
To obtain slots, simply use the Dice limit break 8 times.
For Vincent:
Vincent only has 1 limit break for each level, and they consist in transforming into other monsters.
You must kill 80 enemies to get the limit of the next level.
For Vincent's level 4 limit break, you must have his 3rd limit and his level 4 limit item Chaos.
