For Sciece Projects you sometimes need to know what are Insulators and what are Conductors, so this page is to tell you what's what
Conductors are containers that the heat or electricity are easily released. And insulators are the materials that keep the heat or electricity inside.
Heat
Some insulators are ceramic, plastic, styrofoam and glass materials. The reason ceramic material is an insulator is because the clay can be thick and heat cannot get through thick things so easily. As for glass, it's an insulator because glass can be thick too, but also because is made of heat so it keeps it in. The others are good conducters too.
Some conductors are wax. Wax melts if the right amount of heat is there, but also it get hotter on the outside than the other materials listed above. On the outer layer, it warns you not to use for hot things or else something would happen.
Electricity
Some insulators of electricity are rubber, glass, wood and plastic. Rubber is a good insulator because it does not let electricity to enter easily or leave easily. Glass also so a lot of light bulbs are made of glass. Same goes for plastic and wood.
Some conducters of electricity are metal and water. All lightning rods are made of metal because they are good conducters. Water is also a good conducter though at the time being I don't have any things made of water because of it.
