I came from Ukraine four years ago, and I have been a photographer for about 10 years. I enjoy taking portrait photography, especially of women.  I love to take nature photographs especially using natural light. In Ukraine, I worked as a civil engineer for five years. One day I ran into an old friend who was looking for a photographer. Since the factory was closing, I was also looking for a new job. I decided to take a chance and start doing photography as a profession. I started simple, taking passport photos, and soon I bought my first good camera, a Kiev-19. I loved to take pictures of my daughter and my friends; it was great fun. After gaining some experience and confidence, I opened my own business in Ukraine taking women’s portraits, family portraits, and weddings. I moved to the United States in 2005 and completed a photography program through continuing education at South Alabama University and received my certification. I am also a member of the Camera South photography club and I continue to enjoy portrait photography in Mobile.
