Learned the trade of tinsmith, in which business he has ever since been engaged. Married Mattie E. Weeks on May 22, 1872. She was born in Montgomery county, Illinois, Feb. 15, 1846. They remained in Plainview one year after marriage and then moved to Mountain Lake, Cottonwood county, Minn. Engaged in the hardward business July, 1874.
