Decorative Hanger Cover Pattern

1 oz. worsted weight yarn
No. 10 knitting needles
yarn needle
hanger

Cast on 10 stitches
Knit 10 stitches
Repeat last instructions until the fabric is long enough to cover a hanger; usually this is about 100 rows. Cast off

Fold the knitted piece in half and stitch up each of the ends Find the center of the knitted piece and insert the neck of the hanger through this spot. Gently fit the sewn ends over the rounded ends of the hanger. A ribbon can be added at the hanger neck for decoration.
