I WONDER
I wonder where and how and when,
I shall see my Lord and King.
The thought alone just sends my spirit soring high.
Will happy teardrops fall like rain?
Will I laugh, and shout and sing?
Will it be at that great supper in the sky?
Will first I see His blessed face,
When He swings wide the pearly gate.
Or will it be upon the glittering streets of gold?
When He takes me by the hand,
Will it be on sea or land -
Or will it be where streams of living water flows?
I wonder when He calls my name,
Will I hear the angels sing,
Or will His voice be the music that I hear?
O, how His face will shine and glow,
I know my heart will overflow
My spotless robe will match the white one that He wears.
Will He smile and say, " Well done,
My child a crown of life you've won.
And now you'll reign and rule with me.
My God alone knows when or where,
I only know that I'll be there
I'll be with Him, it matters not how, when, or where.
No it matters not the time or place,
But I know that by His grace
Not only will I see, but like Him I will be.
O what a happy, happy time,
All my trials are far behind,
And hand in hand we'll walk into eternity.
