The Grammys

Who got jipped??? WHO got JIPPED!?! Ok, now, don't go and get me wrong. Santana is God on guitar, and I love him as much as the next person. I knew without a shadow of a doubt he was going to get best album and best song... What I'm mad about is that one category that Santana WASN'T in, and they STILL didn't get it.. That's what I'm mad about. Who the hell do these peope think they are?? Who in their right mind even conceived of the idea of giving Sting an award that was obviously the Boys???? Who is Sting? Who is he now? Everyone knew Sting.... Ten years ago! I haven't heard a song from him since 1995!

Now, my problem isn't with Sting. I like his music. My problem is with the people who vote on who gets what. Now, why don't they just go ahead and hang up a big ol' sign that says "Due to the fact that we HATE every single boy ban on the face of this earth, we will not distribute Grammys to BsB, *N Sync, or anyone else like that, though we will make the pretense of nominating them." What is wrong with these people? What do they have against boy bands? Did they ever do anything to them? I'm sorry, but the BsB deserved that award, they earned that award. It's crap like this that makes it hard for them. And they're still good, despite all that.

They write their own music, they break records set my music legends, they stay at the number one spot forever, they sell their tours out in 15 minutes....What more can they do????? I mean, come on, people! They aren't GOD, like Santana. But they do what they can, and they do a damn good job at it. They are THE boy band. And people critize them for being a boy band, but look at what they have done! Can you imagine anyone putting up with what they have, the embarrassment, the harassment, the total rejection because they are a boy band.

I didn't really want to preach.. just complain, like I always do. =) But these people who are running things like this need to open their eyes and get their head out of their rear ends. Backstreet Boys are here, and they're not leaving until they're damn good and ready.. And until then....Fans like me will be patiently waiting for them to get the respect they deserve.
