Josh Corke extends his winning streak to 17, the longest streak since Ale DeLaPena ended his highschool career with 26 straight in 2000. The streak ties Joe Rubinsky (1991) for the tenth longest in Ki-Be history. Josh looks to be taking this year very seriously with his third tournament title. Look for a strong showing in the postseason from Josh this year. A state championship could be in the making.
Jose Gonzalez made a great showing with a 4th place finish. Ramon won 3 of 4 matches all by pin. Josh Corriell narrowly lost to Jimmy Orozco of Connell 6-5. Orozco finished 7th at state last year and Corriell stayed with him in the final. Things could change in the post-season. Roos also recorded 3 pins in taking second. He lost to Jake Healy in the finals, a rematch of the Ki-Be Invite finalists.
