In the name of God; Amen. I Simon Poe of Chatham County and state of North Carlina Being of sound and perfect mind and memory Blessed be God do this Ninth Day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred And ninty three; make and publish this my Last will and testamet; in manner following that is to say
First I give and bequeath to my well beloved Wife Rhoda Poe one Neago girle named Weney one feather Bed and furnature one Bay mare seven years old one Cow and Calf; one sow and pigs one dish and three plats putter three kivce and three forks; Ten barrels of corn to be paid this first day of next December; together with on hundred Acors of Land on  pigs brnch wher on the said Rhoda Poe formely lived during har widowhood
All the next of my estate to be equally divided Between these my Children: Sary Herndon: Mary
Barry: Jane Massey;[] one childs part to be divided, between Mary George and Lucy Straughn Daughters of Lucy Straughn Deccest; Stphan Poe, son of Simon Poe one other Childs part; Also William Poe the son of Stphan Poe One other Childs part; My son William Poe and my son James Poe and Daughter Frances Thomason having had ther part of my Esstate allready…And I herby, make and ordain my worthy friends Richard Straugn: Robert Thomson and James Massey: Executors of this my last will and testament in witness Where of I the sade Simon Poe have to this my last will and testament set, my hand and seal the day and year above writen

I Terry Poe of the County of Cape Girardeau and state of Missouri one of the heirs of Simon Poe Sen'r, deceased do hereby acknowledge to have received from Simon Poe and James Poe adms. of the estate of said Simon Poe Sen'r deceased forty dollars in [part??] of my distribute share of said estate as an heir at [love or law?] of the same.  Given under my  hand this 16th of June 1828.   Terry Poe, Jr.

In the name of God, Amen. I Terry Poe of the county of Stoddard in the State of Missouri, aged fifty eight years, being of sound mind, do make this my last will and testament as follows:
I request that my funeral be conducted under the direction of my beloved wife and in a manner
suitable to my means and position in life, and that a suitable monument or stone be placed by her to mark the final resting place of my remains, the cost of which shall be considered as funeral expenses.
And I direct that my funeral charges the expenses of administrating on my estate, and all my just
debts be paid out of my personal estate; and if that be insufficient, I expressly authorize my
executrix or executor hereinafter named, to sell, at public or private sale, the whole or such part
of my real estate, as may be sufficient for that purpose, first however selling the forty-five acres
upon which is now situate my dwelling house I called the home place.
I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth J. Poe, should she survive me, all my real and personal estate situate in Stoddard County, Mo.; Said Real Estate consisting of Two Hundred and forty-five acres and being situate in Sections Six (6) and Seven (7) and all in Township No. Twenty Six (26) North of Range No. Ten (10) East; during her natural live only and during that time as fully or though she now seized and possessed of absolute fee therein.

I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter, Margarette E. Street, after the death of her mother,
absolutely, a strip of land off of the East side of the North East qr. Of the South East qr. Of
Section Six (6) Township No. Twenty-Six (26), North of Range Ten (10) East, sufficient to make five (5) acres; I having heretofore conveyed to her forty (40) acres & this addition of five acres
equalling in all the whole part of each of the parts of her sisters and brother.

I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Zulika M. Elmore, after the death of her mother, absolutely, Thirty five acres off of the West part of the North West quarter of the South East quarter of section six (6) in Township No. Twenty Six (26), North of Range Ten (10) East.

I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Stella Grain the North West quarter of the South East quarter of Section No. Six (6) Township No. Twenty Six (26) North of Range No. Ten (10) East. The title .....est in her absolutely after the death of her mother and not before.

I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Arnetta Bradley, after the death of her mother absolutely, the South East quarter of the pg. 249 South East quarter of Section no. Six (6) Township No. Twenty six (26) north of Range No. Ten (10) East.

And I bequeath to my beloved son, after the death of his mother absolutely, the north West quarter of the South East quarter of Section No. Seven (7) in Township No. Twenty Six (26) north of Range No. Ten (10) east.

And I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Loretta Chestan after the death of her mother,
absolutely, the south East quarter of the North West quarter of Section No. Seven (7) in Township
No. Twenty-six (26) North of Range No. Ten (10) East.

All of the above bequests to my beloved children being subject to the absolute use and enjoyment of the premises by their mother during her natural lifetime.

And I further will that other Real Estate that I may die Seized off at the time of my death, shall
be equally divided among my children, but no part to be used and enjoyed by them until after thedeath of their mother.

And I further will that all personal property left by me to my widow, at the time of my death and
un-disposed of by her or my executor; shall also be equally divided among my children after her
death.

I appoint my son Terry Poe Jr. and my beloved wife Elizabeth J. Poe, executors of this my Will,
revoking any former will by me make and I request that my said Executors act as such executors
without exacting bond and I authorize and empower my said executors in the settlement of my estate and of any debts due me, to compromise such debts, and if they think it advantageous to my estate to accept in satisfaction less than the full amount thereof.

The foregoing instrument was at the date thereof signed and declared by the said Terry Poe, to be his last will and testament in the presence of us, who, at his request and in his presence, and in the presence of each other, have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.

Be it Remembered, that on this the 4th day of April A.D. 1900, before me Thomas Connelly Judge of the probate Court, held in and for the county and State aforesaid, personally appeared J.R. Young and E.J. Williams, who are the subscribing witnesses to the annexed will of Terry Poe deceased, and being by me first duly sworn depose and says That the said Terry Poe the Testator, subscribed the same in his presence, and published and declared said will or Instrument of writing to be his last will and testament, and that at the time of signing the same he, the said testator was of sound and disposing mind, and more than twenty-one years of age, and that said deponents attested said will as witness thereto, by subscribing their names to the same in the presence of the Testator and of each other and at the request of the said testator.

I Thomas Connelly Judge of the Probate Court of Stoddard County, Missouri, having Examined the foregoing Instrument purporting to be the Last Will and testament of Terry Poe, deceased, and having heard the testimony of J.R. Young, and E.J. Williams subscribing witnesses thereto, in Relation of the Execution of the same, do declare and adjudge said Instrument of date Aug 20 -1897, to be the Last Will and testament of said Terry Poe deceased, late of Stoddard County Missouri.  In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said court at office this 4th day of April 1900..

The undersigned, Terry Poe, Jr. and Elizabeth Poe Executors of the Last Will and Testament of Terry Poe deceased, late of Stoddard county, Missouri, personally appeared before me, the Judge of the Probate Court in and for Stoddard county, State of Missouri, and being duly sworn by me, upon oath say that they will make a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the goods and chattels,lands and tenements, rights and credits of the said Testator, according to law and will well and truly execute or administer the Last Will and Testament of the said Testator, by paying first his debts, and then the legacies contain in said Last Will and testament, as far as the assets of the said Testator will extend and the law direct, render just accounts and faithfully perform all thing required by law touching such executorship or Administration.

To all to whom these presents shall come - Greeting: Know ye, that the last will and testament of
Terry Poe, deceased, late of Stoddard County, Missouri, hath in due form of law been exhibited,
proved and recorded, in the office of the Judge of the Probate Court of Stoddard County, Missouri, a copy of which is hereto annexed; and inasmuch as it appears that Terry Poe Jr. and Elizabeth J. Poe have been appointed Executors in and by the said Last Will and testament to execute the

same, and to the end that the property of the said Testator may be presented for those who shall
appear to have a legal right or interest therein and then the said Last Will and testament May be
executed according to the request and instruction of the said Testator, we do hereby authorize them the said Terry Poe Jr. and Elizabeth J. Poe, as such Executors, to collect and secure all and singular, the goods and chattels, rights and credits, which were of the said Terry Poe at the timeof his death, in whosoever hands or possession the same may be found; and to perform and fulfill all such duties as may be enjoined upon him by said Last will and Testament so far as there shall be property and the law charge; and in general to do and perform all other acts which are now or may be hereafter required of them by law.

In Testimony whereof, I, Thos. Connelly Judge of the Probate Court in and for said County; have
hereunto signed my name and affixed the seal for the said court at office in Bloomfield this 4th day of April, A.D. 1900.
