Mel is nicely broke and a fun ride. She is currently being used for beginner western lessons but would be best suited with someone who is a more pro-active rider simply because that is what brings out her best assets. She is not spooky or jumpy at all, doesn't buck, rear or act silly but just appreciates someone who will direct her more than just a point and go as a passenger. She loves to ride trails and is well started with neck reining, pivoting and flexing appropriately under saddle. Mel is not afraid at all to go out for a ride on her own, down the road, through ditches, open fields or narrow trails.

Mel gets along fine in a herd and in her stall. She clips easy, bathes, loads and stands nicely for grooming, vetting and farrier. Mel is current with all vaccinations and wormings and has always been well taken care of.

Mel would love to be a member of a 4-H family and/or someone who wants to have a little fun with cows. She is confident in herself and has the breeding for just plain fun.
