A few hours drive north of Melbourne is Mt. Buller, which is an alpine resort. We skipped the winter season after seeing on TV what they called "good conditions". If there is snow at all here in Australia it is good, never mind the rocks and grass sticking up through the snow. We decided wildflowers in summer was better. The top of Mt. Buller is over the tree line and looks a bit like Norway.
