Jonathan was familiar with the music business long before his days with Korn. His father owned a
musical instrument store, and later took over the Bakersfield recording studio. Jon studied classical
music from a young age. He started playing drums when he was 5, and used to join his father's band
for their gigs at a local nightspot. Jon started picking up other instruments in the store and playing
them. He learned to play the bagpipes in high school and won medals at various Scotish games.
However, his father continually discouraged him from pursuing a career in music because he had
experienced so much heartbreak first hand.
At the age of 16, Jonathan went on a work experience placement at the local mortuary. "I thought it
would be cool to see dead bodies and cut them up," he says "all I did back then was watch horror
movies, and I wanted to see the real shit. At first I was queasy; I'll never forget the sound of the scalpel
cutting a body open, but it was so cool trying to work out how these people died."
When he was 18, Jonathan's parents kicked him out of the house. He enroled himself in San
Francisco's School of Mortuary Science. After earning a degree, Jon spent time as an assistant
coroner at Kern County [California] Coroners Department and moonlighting as an undertaker at a
nearby funeral home. What lured him out of the morgue and onto the stage was a prediction by an
astrologer/psychic(astrologist) who foresaw that he would become notorious, if not downright
famous, fronting a rock band--she didn't even know he was a musician. That propehcy took seed in
Jonathan's fertile subconscious, and within two years he was fronting Sexart, a local band with a
small following.
Jonathan is now KoRn's vocalist and the one with the bagpipe skills. His attitude changes very much from
song to song. He has a very agonizing and rough voice that can range from a very emotional to a low and
grungy roar. Jon is pretty much the main element that gives Korn its noticable sound.
Jonathan and his son, Nathan Housemen Davis, live in Huntington Beach, CA.

When he was younger, James had a three wheeler. One night, while sneaking out to go to a party, the chain slipped off. Not thinking (he wanted to quiet it, so he wouldn't get busted), he slapped his hand down on the chain and it got caught between the chain and sprocket. When he pulled his hand up, he was missing the end of his left index finger. That incident led to his guitar playing as a way of helping him heal the injured finger.

Brian moved to Bakesfield, CA in 4th grade. He went to East High High School and graduated in 1988. During that time, he was turned onto the joys of the seven string by Munkey. The pair have been jamming with each other since high school, "He inspired me to start playing when we were 14 or 15." Soon after high shool, Brian played in a couple of bands on a 6 string gutiar and later moved to Los Angeles CA to live with some guys, playing in the band LAPD. He's very shy and quiet in person but not on stage. You can't find much info on Brian because he's more interested in the music and not popularity. During interviews he mostly just kicks back and lets the others talk. Thanks to (Tara Igoe for a lot of info.)

Fieldy is the other main element of Korn aside from Jon, he sets the groove that the rest of the band jams to. He pounds his bass super hard with his hands and kranks it up! Fieldy is also known for his alcoholic antics and is the band's joker. Fieldy is now an expecting father. NOTE: Fieldy Snuts translates to feel deez nuts.

David has wanted to do this since he was seven. His drumming skills caught the ear of Suicidal Tendancies' Mike Muir, and David can be heard on the new Infectious Grooves album. Earlier this year, David married Shannon Bellino (4/97) and tattooed her first name on his back. Also, he has taken up a side-project as a model, already completing an assignment for skate/punk clothing co. 26 Red and being signed by Grind to do a series of ads for them. He is the shy and most optimistic member of KoRn...so I've read.
