MRS. ELIZABETH PERRY


Houlka, Miss. Jan. 9__Grandma Perry, who had been living with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. S. Perry for several years, died this morning while the family was at the breakfast table. From a pain in the night before she gradually became numb and died, without a struggle. Mrs. Perry was 97 years old, the oldest lady in this part of the state. Her husband, Sam Preston Perry, died in 1912 at the age of 92, both coming from Alabama long ago.



Mrs. Perry was Miss Elizabeth Hunter, and leaves six children, Mrs. Mary Stephens and Mrs Susan Oliver of Huntsville and Russellville, Ala., Sam Perry of Oklahoma, Lee Perry of Troy, Grant and J. W. S. Perry of Houlka. Three children are dead. A host of relatives and friends mourn her death.

Grandma Perry, as she was lovingly known, read books and the Commercial Appeal up until the day before her death, her eyes being remarkably good for her age. Burial will be conducted by Rev. Armour of the Methodist Church at Schooner Valley.

MRS. MOLLIE PERRY


Mrs. Mollie Perry, 85, dies Tuesday afternoon after one week of illness. She was a member of the Church of Christ.


Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Raby Funeral Home, conducted by Eld. R. A. Largen, assisted by Rev. O. S. Lanham. Burial in Riverview Cemetery.



Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. J. O. Pack of Fayetteville, and Mrs. Jake Roberts of McMinnville; three sons, W. I. Perry of Mt. Pleasant, Bill and Ben Perry of Fayetteville; 33 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
