Helen Fees Review of Manchester.

i went to see 911 last night and it was good they sang:
Came onto Party poeple
right i don't know the order but from first album to last alsbum here goes:
Don't make me wait
The day we find love
bodyshakin'
The Journey (beated up version)
Love sensation
Our last goodbye
a night to remember
Movin' on
hdywmtly (acoustic version)
baby come back to me
all i want is you (beated up version)
More than a woman
a little bit more
and that's it and they do this time machine thing and they all sing
different songs from different years.
It was good and the lads were great and jimmy reads everybody's banners (if
they a readable!)
it was great but when they sing the day we find love the dancers are all
over them!!!
Lee looks gorgeous when he comes on cause he has white cut off pants on and
he looks cute!

Lisa Wilsons Review Of Manchester

As the lights went down in the arena the volume of the crowd just got
louder and the screams were ear piercing. As it was the first night of
the tour, everyone was nervous for the boys and were wondering what was
gonna go wrong!!
As usual the boys burst onto stage with as much energy as ever! After a few
technical hitches with the stage layout and a few props falling over
(!!) the show was underway and it just was getting better and better.
After the first few mins of them being on stage you could tell the
nerves were gone and they were really happy to be back on stage with
their fans... where they should be.
Considering it was the first night there were no major hiccups, and they
were great. The only small mistakes were funny, like Lee forgetting his
lines aswell as knocking himself out with a speaker (?!?) how he did
that i haven't a clue! Their magic tricks going wrong coz they had
revealed how they did them even before they had started!! The stage
curtain nearly being pulled down by the front row and a lot of
microphone probs which ended up with Jimmy singing his heart out to a
microphone with no sound!!! Great lip actions though!!!!!! Spike even
had to run off stage in the middle of bodyshakin' to get his mic
fixed....
There was a great atmosphere all the way through the show and by the
looks on Lee, Spike and Jimmy's faces they enjoyed the night just as
much as the 1000's of screaming fans who went to see them!
The highlight of the show has to be when they sang their new single...
'Wonderland'. They couldn't believe that they had the whole of the MEN
arena doing the dance to a song that they'd never even sang live before.
After the show had finished the lights came up but the atmosphere didn't
disappear, as the fans were walking (or running!!!) out of the building
you could still hear wonderland being played and the fans singing
along...

Samantha Hennings Review of Hull

911 came on to Party People............Friday Night and done a really fast groovy dance. The other songs they sang were : The Journey Moving On All I Want Is You How Do You Want Me To Love You A Little Bit More More Than A Woman Bodyshakin' Don't Make Me Wait Love Sensation The Day We Find Love Night To Remember Baby Come Back To Me   They finished with Wonderland but before that they sung If Only You'd Love Me which is going to be the next single after Wonderland. They also done this time machine thing where they stepped on top of a box went under a curtain for a few seconds and came out as someone from the 50's, 60's etc. Jimmy read out some banners but couldn't read out any rude ones. Altogether the show was great. The merchandise was great, they had t - shirts, mugs, posters, badges programs and lots more.

Suzanne Aits Review of Glasgow

My journey to the concert was in the 911 bus! It went all round picking up
other 911 fans then dropped us off at the SECC.  It was 7:10 by the time we
got in.  I bought a t-shirt, program and a yellow flashy-light thing. Our
seats were quite near the front and we were at the end of our row, so we
could get photos without people getting in the way and we were closer to the
middle than we thought we'd be. When the support bands started everybody went
crazy! The first support band was Word On The Street (WOTS), they were really
good. Then there was this other group that I never really payed attention to,
but were okay. Then there was Atomic Kitten, who all look like people I know
at school! Their songs were quite good too. Justin was the last support act,
he was okay, but I'm not really a fan of his music.
After a while, 911's dancers appeared on stage and the whole crowd went
totally mental! The boys were standing behind white paper screens, Lee burst
through his and sang his part of "Party People", then Jimmy came out and did
his bit and finally Spike did his. It was a different version though - it was
more jazzed up.  Lee's trousers there were pretty strange - they were big
baggy white things that didn't come all the way down - but of course they
looked good on him! Jimmy was looking gorgeous as ever with his bright blond
hair :o)
They sang loads of songs, and some medlys of their singles.
They did a time-machine thing too. Lee just happened to have a homemade time
machine with him! Jimmy asked to be sent back to the 50's, and Lee sent him
to the 1750's! He eventually got it right though, and Jimmy done a really
cool song in his leather jacket!! Spike wanted to go back to the 1980's, but
Lee made him come out as Gordon the Gopher!! He got it right afterwards
though, and Spike did a version of the MC Hammer song, "Can't touch this".
They then all did a 70's song that was really funny!
I can't remeber which song it was but for some songs they were wearing these
shirts with chinese dragons on them... they looked so good in them!! And when
they came out for "Bodyshakin" I felt like I was in heaven!! They looked so
cool! Especially Jimmy (of course).
They finished the concert with "Wonderland" and they got the audience to join
in with the singing and clapping. All in all, it was a brilliant concert and
I'm sad it's over now, but hopefully tomorrow, when I get my film developed,
I'll have some nice photos to remember it by.

Fiona Whites (Rather long) Review of Glasgow

I went and bought the tickets, and we waited for the train to pull in.  Before then, we'd been taking photos of each other with the huuuuuge 911/Justin banner that I'd made about two months before!  Okay, after managing to get on the train to Aberdeen by mistake and changing at the last minute, we arrived in Glasgow's Queen Street station, and met up with my other two mates, and introduced everyone to each other (that was the idea at least!).  We all went back to their house, and literally spent the next seven hours getting ready to go.  I couldn't decide what to wear, and had decided to go in combats, but at the last minute, I changed my mind... hehehe =)  I ended up in pedal pushers and a little strappy, vest-top kinda thing (if you don't know what I mean, just use your imagination!).  All I can really say is that there was bucket-loads of glitter involved =)   We phoned for a taxi, and all squeezed into it (banner and all!).  It took 30 minutes to get through the traffic (this IS 911 we're talking about here!) so to pass the time we sang loads of 911 tracks.  We were all so hyped up by the time we got there, but managed to stay calm(ish!).    There were programmes on sale for £5.00 in the foyer, so we all bought one, and sat reading them in anticipation of what was to come.  Before I knew it, the clock said 7:15pm and we all rushed into the hall where I bought a fantastic 911 T-shirt and a Coke before we found our seats (which were amazingly nearer than I thought they were going to be!).  As always, before big shows like these, there was a safety announcement, and just before 7:25pm, I ran down the side towards the stage and begged the Security Guard to let me touch the stage.  I'm sure he thought I was more than a little bit mad, but he let me anyway... moving swiftly on...

First were the support acts.  Namely 'Word On The Street' who were amazing, 'Fred & Roxy' who were apparently there but I didn't even notice them(!) and 'Atomic Kitten'.  They were all great, but next up was the real reason I came to see the show... JUSTIN!!!    I screamed and screamed, and this girl in front of me said I was a stupid b*tch and that Justin was a load of old sh*te.  I just ignored her, nothing was gonna ruin my big moment!  He was soooooo fantastic, bounded onto the stage in this tight, sleeveless, black, Nike top.  The first thing I noticed was how tall he was... and then he burst into song with 'All About You' which I was very pleased about, because it's my fave track of his.  Next up was 'Do You Wanna Party?' which got me totally psyched, I thought I was gonna pass out... and then the beautiful 'Over You' came on straight afterwards.  By this stage I'd lost my voice after all that screaming and shouting, but just as I thought it had all ended, he had a special surprise for us all... it was his Gran's birthday, so he got everyone to sing 'Happy Birthday' to her with him.  The lights went up during it, and he actually said that he liked my banner (it was the only one for Justin in the whole auditorium!).  That was such an amazing feeling, but to make it even better, was getting to see the look on that girl's face who called me a b*itch for even liking him.  Hehe... I just smirked at her, shame really... =)  Anyway, he went off soon after, but I'll never forget that moment... EVER!   Then, the curtains closed, lights came back up, and we had a five minute rest (to re-install our voiceboxes I suppose!) before 911came on.  Before long, it went pitch black again, and the stage had been completely transformed, with a flight of steps in the middle, leading up to three bright white, paper screens/doors.  A remixed version of 'Party People... Friday Night' started playing, and Lee jumped through one of the doors and started singing the first verse.  Soon after, out popped Jimmy and then, last but not least, came Spike.  Everyone went crazy, especially me (who was still recovering after the whole Justin phenomena!).  I remembered them as being quite small from way back in October 1997, but after Justin going off, the difference in height was huge!  You've also got to remember that Justin is still only 16 as well.  They were great though, and I can assure you that Jimmy's new hairdo glows in the dark, even if no one else agrees with me!!!   Then there was a medley of tracks from all three of ther albums.  I was expecting them all to be off 'There It Is' but obviously, because the tour had suddenly changed from the 'There It Is' tour to 'The Greatest Hits... and a little bit more Tour 1999' that's what was gonna happen.  It was amazing though, and when they sang 'The Day We Find Love' which is probably my favourite of their songs, I was crying, I couldn't believe what was happening!  After numbers such as 'Bodyshakin'', 'All I Want Is You', 'Baby Come Back To Me' and 'The Journey' the night was ended with a beautiful rendition of the new single (released on October 11th for anyone thinking of buying it!) 'Wonderland'.  We all had to do the arm movements, and by the end I could barely move!

I wished the night could go on forever, but I guess it had to end sooner or later, I just wish it had been later... MUCH later!  It took us almost 45 minutes just to get out of the building, and when we got outside it was sooooo cold!  I hadn't even thought of bringing a jacket, so I was left standing there, freezing... it was worth it though =)    The taxi finally pulled up and we all hopped in (still singing 'Wonderland').  We arrived back at my mates' house, and I expected to zonk out immediately, but I couldn't =(  Everyone else fell asleep within about 5 minutes, but I just kinda sat there playing with their dog which maybe wasn't such a great idea, as she eventually fell asleep on top of me (erm... you've gotta remember that she's a pretty massive German Shepherd too!).    As much as I enjoyed my time in Glasgow, all I could think about was getting home.  When I got back, the first thing I did was go and clear my Inbox (naturally!).  I hadn't stopped thinking about it the whole time I was away and was really worried that the important mails I'd left in there before I went had been automatically deleted (that starts happening when you get about 100+).  I was very lucky though, 97 mails had come in (mostly off mailing lists).   And that was my glory story, hope you enjoyed it!!!

Linsey Brocks Review of Aberdeen

The Aberdeen concert was the last date of the whole
tour so it felt like ages before it came round. I'd
heard a bit about what to expect from other 911 fans
who had already seen the tour but was still looking
forward to seeing all the 'magic' for myself! The day
was a bit of a blur to be honest. I had to be at the
exhibition centre for 4 o'clock to go backstage and
after having rushed home from university I made it
just in time, much to my friend's relief! Lee, Spike
and Jimmy were really nice as always, it was a lot
more relaxed than the Concorde trip I'd met them on a
couple of weeks before! Once Spike, Jimmy and Lee had
left everyone backstage was shown (or should that be
thrown?!!) outside. We listened to them soundcheck and
then were met by someone from the fanclub who offered
us 911 photos in return for handing out leaflets at
the door. At this point Martin from the fanclub and
Lee's brother came walking along singing along in a
funny voice to 911 soundchecking with Martin almost
falling over! We had really good seats at the concert,
4th row right in the centre. As I was handing out
leaflets I missed most of the support acts except
Justin who was last on before 911, he was really good
considering a dressed up Spike and Jimmy came onto the
stage halfway through his set and tied him to a chair!
Justin was also given a bottle of champagne and a kiss
by one of the dancers which he looked quite pleased
about! After a break 911 came on in style, with each
member bursting through paper singing a remixed
version of Party People (and yes it was Friday night!)
They started how they meant to carry on and the night
was certainly one to remember with all the hits from
Love Sensation and The Journey to more recent songs
such as A Little Bit More and the new one, Wonderland
which had everyone up on their seats. As well as all
that they managed to fit in some old classics thanks
to Lee's 'time machine'! (Liked the outfit Spike!)
They also chatted to the crowd (they're NOT splitting
up!) and read most of the banners. It was a brill
night, nothing went wrong (nothing that was obvious
anyway!) and I can't wait until the next one!
