Our first REALLY fun rave, at Tucson Greyhound Park! The security were asses, this one B threw away my rare Lip Smackers™ peppermint chapstick, grrr. I didn't get tired at all the entire time because we were allowed to go out back and sit on the bleachers and cool off. Refreshed, we'd dance for many more hours, and even waited in line to dance upstairs, which was carpeted, and played ass good music!

Our first experience at yuck Cow Town. On the way there, we drove through a Tohono O'odham checkpoint. The dancing and hanging out was way fun, as was the discovery of Scott Henry. We knocked over a fence, and to every person that walked by, Joe had to explain that we had knocked it over, instead of playing dumb.
Then there was a dog that sniffed and licked Jessica, and she thought it was me! At 4 am, we walked a year to the car, because Jessica wanted to leave. D says he wasn't ready to leave, but he slept the whole way home as the backseat discussed the distinct taste of chicken broth and soap.

We ate pastries at the Nile
, which prompted Ben to proclaim that we were on the "meth diet ever!" We also shared some funny jokes in between the debilitating nausea. "Psychin' you out!" "It's so cold out here, like fiddy..." "A witch's titty?" "Your pants are fluorescent!" "PLURescent?" "When they say 'glowsticks', they don't mean cigarettes." It was a way fun experience, despite the drama. I danced to DJ Dan's mix of That Zipper Track.

We ate pastries at this rave, which took place at the Beverage Warehouse. Lots of fun, Double Impact was a treat! "Plants need water" was my mantra. D met Scott, and saw Dave, a manager at the movie theater, Courtney from summer school, and Sara with her friend Mona.

D went with Scott to this all-House party at the Nile . D got to touch DJ Irene and received an autoghraphed CD from her! It was unfortunately broken up by the cops, who sprayed everyone with pepper spray.

Another DEC party. Awesome music downstairs. D danced to HHC for the first time at a rave. Went with Scott, Mark, and Holly. Scott lost the keys, but they were found.

Took place at the DEC. D went with Scott and Mark, met Stephanie there. Great hardcore, had an awesome time, became physically exhausted.

This was the last DEC rave we've been to. The music was not a huge treat, we primarily hung out downstairs where jungle was spun. Afterwards, we ate at the Grill.

Took place at the International Art Center. Recognized lots of people. Despite there only being trance, the music was soo good!

Identical to Dreamscapes almost! Again at the Beverage Warehouse, and again we ate pastries. We played out back where we heard the "faggot faggot!" song and the "They know what is what, but they don't know what is what, they just strut, WTF" song which I now know is by Fatboy Slim. I danced non-stop and decided that DJ Enrie, the "work that ass guy" is my BF. S slept next to a shattered glowstick. The ray lights hugged me. D :-* Jose.

OMFG this was so lame. Zen took place at Cowtown, which I already don't like, and there was barely good music. Even DJ Venom wasn't that great, and he is my BF. We sat shivering on the bed of some itchy hay truck being appalled at DJ Venom's crappy set, while nursing shin splints from dancing on rocky, slanty terrain. It was windy, and the records skipped.

TREAT at Cow Town! Went with Cassie instead of Stephanie. Ate a Snoopy pastry from Jessie. Good setup and chill room. Black light was trippy. Lots of energy at the end, danced for hours. Left at 7:00 am.

This was Jose's birthday party. Everyone was there, and I ate Jewish pastries, which were really good. Mix between uppity and floored the whole night, till 5 am, when we left.

This hardcore rave at the Nile
was such a treat! Rob Gee spun some songs that we recognized, but it was so hot to dance, and we were so sweaty. We luckily had the Amerisuites hotel to sleep at so we wouldn't have to drive all the back to Tucson before resting. The elevator had a sticker on it that warned "Staring at Elevator numbers causes flatulence." The next morning we fueled ourselves on Pancho's and Krispy Kremes.

Another Nile event. We arrived during Starr's excellent HHC set. The fans and blowers turned off periodically which made the already poorly-ventilated Nile even more exhausting to dance in. House o Holics were a total treat, and everyone liked our "I'm a Treat" shirts!

Dude Where's My Rave: We found ourselves asking that question a lot on the way there. The night started with a long drive first to the map point at London West Records in Tempe, then to a hidden desert location along an impossible dirt road east of Apache Junction.
When we did arrive, it was cold, but we were able to convene at the bonfires. The music was a treat, with two U-Haul stages and some fun lights.

Polarity took place at Fountain Bowl in Fountain Hills. Upon arrival, we thought that this rave was going to be extremely lame. We were charged $25 for admission, which was GD insane. The front "stage" by the bowling lanes was lit with those god forsaken icicle Christmas lights, which was ridiculous because ravers don't dance in white light. Ben Solar was spinning, and spun for pretty much the whole time we were there...he had some excellent music, even if the mixing wasn't totally flawless. The back stage is where the headliner, Frankie Bones spun. In true NYC Entertainment style, the other headliners, supposedly DJ Irene and Omar Santana, never made it. Frankie's set was hard and fast, and kept me moving the whole time. There were ugly scaries in my way and I had to continually move so I could pretend they didn't exist. On a full Pancho's stomach, Seth could not dance. After Frankie, I returned to the well-lit front area to again be the only person dancing to Solar's set. I wish these too-cool kids would chill the F out and quit worrying about what their peers feel. After Solar, DJ Starr played an unbelievably terrific HHC set, which was cut short by the crap bowling alley owner throwing everyone out at 4AM. Despite the weird atmosphere, I had so much fun!
