Witches

My response to the writing assignment my partner Suzy gave her English class.

It always makes me very sad
That people think all witches are bad.
That they all have moles and warts on their faces
And live in dark and scary places.
That they only live to hurt and fright,
Planning evil all through the night.
Witches have a bad reputation,
Filling hearts with trepidation.
I am a witch, but well I know
I cannot tell most people so.
They think I'll cast on them a spell,
But they don't know Wicca very well.
Whatever you do, for right or wrong,
Will come back seven times as strong.
It would be quite a fool indeed
Who'd send forth evil word or deed.
So next time someone says to you
That witchcraft's a bad thing to do,
Tell them what you've learned from me;
Witches aren't so bad, you see.
