Everyone knows that Drew
Kirk and Libby Kennedy are made for each other- except Libby. Her feelings have
been confused since the bike crash earlier this year left her to face the
possibility that she may never have kids. Unable to cope, she called off their
engagement as she knew Drew had always wanted a family. However, this fortnight
Libby finally admits to Drew that she loves him and wants them to spend the rest
of their lives together!
 But like every twist and
turn in this long-running storyline, the reunion is far from simple. "Drew
has been talking about going back to his home town of Oakey to get over
Libby," explains Kym Valentine, who plays the on-off bride. "But it's
only when he finds someone to buy his share of the garage that the prospect of
him leaving becomes real to Libby. But it still takes her a while to swallow her
pride and try to stop him. It comes down to stubbornness- she loves him, she
just can't bring herself to tell him!"
When Lou reveals that Drew
is about to sign the contracts for the sale of his share of the garage, Libby
finally cracks. "She realizes that she has to do something, and it becomes
a race against time," Kym says. "There's traffic on the road, and then
her car stalls. Everything that can go wrong does go wrong, and she ends up
having to run to the garage on foot!" Libby arrives just as Drew is about
to sign the contract. "Libby tells him that she doesn't want him to do, and
that she loves him," says Kym. "And Drew, being the perfect gentleman,
forgives her."
Kym admits she breathed a
sigh of relief when the couple returned to each other's arms. "I can't tell
you how glad I am that Libby is back to her old self," Kym says. "It's
what people wanted. I think there would have been a riot if Drew and Libby
hadn't got back together." However, a lot could still happen before the
pair become Mr. and Mrs. Kirk. "The wedding is on, but there are still
obstacles to overcome," teases Kym. "Libby is bound to find some way
to disagree with Drew on how it's all down!"
