Stephanie puts her feelings aside and urges Libby to reconcile with Drew.

Tell Him!

As Drew Kirk plans to leave Erinsborough this fortnight, his neighbour Stephanie Scully makes the ultimate sacrifice to stop him- but not before she has to learn some heartbreaking home truths. "It's Steph's last chance to tell Drew how she feels," explains Carla Bonner, who plays her. "But they're interrupted and the moment is lost. Toadfish is aware of Steph's plans, so later, when Drew starts talking about her, Toadie assumes that he knows how she feels," Carla continues. "Steph ends up having to tell Drew everything."

Amazed by Stephanie's revelation, Drew's only option is to be truthful. "Drew says that he's loved Libby all along, and he's leaving town to try and get over her," reveals Carla. "He's flattered that Steph is attracted to him but says it can go no further. Stephanie tries to put on a brave face, but deep down, she's shattered." While she could be forgiven for keeping a low profile after this humiliation, Carla is pleased to see her alter ego make the ultimate sacrifice.

"Steph decides to put her feelings aside and get Drew and Libby back together," Carla divulges. "She goes to Libby and says 'You're crazy, Drew really loves you and if you don't say something he's going to leave and you'll never see him again'." Whether or not Libby acts on this tip remains to be seen, but Carla is as relieved as viewers that the long-running storyline is set to come to an end. "It's been hard to play because there were just so many scenes of Steph pining," she says. "I hope she finds someone who makes her happy, because she deserves it!"
