When an individual thinks of a Familiar, the first thing that comes to mind is a black cat.  In fact, Familiars come in many colors and species.  They can be every shade and color of the rainbow and anything from a horse to a gold fish.

All of us Familiars are magickal, and are assistants in rituals. We can pass through a casted circle without disturbing the energies and powers within. We gather around when our humans are performing a rituals, and take in the rising smoke of the burning incense and the flickering flame of the lighted candles.

Humans almost need us. We promote healing by just being near. We warn humans of danger, and defending them if threatened. We will even refuse to enter a room if we sense danger, whether of a physical or supernatural kind. We are companions during astral travel, & meditations. We are protectors & guides.

There are different types of Familiars:

The first kind is an actual creature who lives with humans, like pets. These Familiars are the ones who have a psychic connection with the human.

The second kind of Familiar is an astral creature of animal form that attaches itself to a human for the purpose of helping. This type of Familiar usually is a creature that can't be kept within the house. It can however, be drawn to the human by his/her intense link to it. Deceased pets are these types of Familiars.

The third type, is an elemental spirit or other entity. The Familiar can help humans by strengthening their magical power. Some do this just by being in the same room with us.
