Crocheted Preemie Hat Pattern

This crocheted hat pattern is a wonderful pattern to expand on your crochet skills and the use of different pattern techniques.

Level:
easy - medium

Tools required:
4mm crochet hook
4ply baby wool

Instructions:
ch 6, join with sl st to form ring.
Rnd 1 - ch3, 11 dc in ring. Join with sl st in top of ch3
Rnd 2 - ch3, 1 dc in same st as ch3, 2dc in each st. Join with sl st in top of ch3
Rnd 3 - ch3, 1dc in same st as ch3, *1dc in next 2 sts, 2dc in next 3sts,
rep from * to last st, 2dc. Join with sl st in top of ch3
Rnd 4 - ch3, *sk 1st 1dc in next st, dc in st behind producing a cross st,
rep from * to last st, 1dc. Join with sl st in top of ch3.
Rnd 5 - ch3, dc in each st. Join with sl st in top of ch3
Rnd 6 - ch3, *sk 1st 1dc in next st, dc in st behind producing a cross st,
rep from * to last st, 1dc. Join with sl st in top of ch3.
Rnd 7 - ch3, dc in each st. Join with sl st in top of ch3
Rnd 8 - ch3, *sk 1st 1dc in next st, dc in st behind producing a cross st,
rep from * to last st, 1dc. Join with sl st in top of ch3.
Rnd 9 - ch3, dc in all front loops to form the fold line for the brim. Join with sl st in top of ch3.
Rnd 10 - ch3, dc in each st. Join with a sl st to top of ch3.
Fasten off. Weave in all ends.

OPTIONAL:
You may like to add a pompom to the top of the hat.
