This is a very easy machine knit hat pattern for a preemie.
Level:
easy
Tools required:
standard gauge knitting machine
4ply baby wool
Instructions:
'e' wrap 50 needles.
T8
RC 000
Knit to RC 016
Picot Row - Transfer every 2nd needle to the right. T9 Knit across row
Change back to T8 Knit to RC 032
Hand hem.
RC 000. Knit to RC 050
Transfer every 2nd st to the right and move unused needles to NWP. Knit across
row.
Cut thread long enough to close top and sew down seam.
Using double eyed needle thread through top stitches and close tightly.
Knot off. Sew down seam and blindly sew hem.
Fold up brim along brim line.
OPTIONAL:
You may like to add a pompom to the top of the hat.
