This is a wonderful preemie hat for you to knit. It has a lovely lacey design in the pattern

Level:
easy - medium

Tools required:
3.75mm/US 3 needles
4ply baby wool

Instructions:
Using 3.25mm needles cast on 60sts
Work 16 rows garter st
Pattern for 28 rows.

PATTERN
Row 1 - *sl 1, k2, psso (over 2sts), k3, rep from * to end
Row 2 - *p4, yo, p1, rep from * to end
Row 3 - *k3, sl1, k2, psso, rep from * to end
Row 4 - *p1, yo, p4, rep from * to end

Cut wool long enough to thread remaining sts on needle and sew seam. Fasten off.

Optional:
You can add a pom-pom to the top.
